1967 Guild Starfire VI Sunburst
Guild's Starfire VI is everything you could ever want in a hollowbody. It's got the top-shelf looks with the flame maple top, gold hardware, ebony fingerboard, custom fingerboard inlays and bound headstock. Better yet, it plays and sounds like a flagship guitar. If you've never fired one of these up, the Guild mini-buckers are a revelation as well. The best word to describe them would be "alive." Gotta love the Guild-branded Bigsby vibrato and Grover tuners as well.
As a working guitar of this vintage it's no surprise to see paint wear throughout. As typical with Guild's with these multi-piece necks you can feel a seem where the different layers have move over the years. The laminations did their job though, the neck is as straight as they come.
Vintage Guild hard case included though please note that the handle is missing.
