This Guild Artist Award was Guild's top of the line Jazz instrument, and this is an outstanding example. Made in Hoboken in 1962, this is a VERY early example of this model and it is extremely rare. The guitar plays great and sounds really incredible. The guitar has changed tuners. It previously had a George Van Epps String Damper mounted where the truss rod cover goes, which is included in the case. The truss rod cover on the guitar now is not original. The guitar has also been refretted. Otherwise the guitar is all original. There is some normal play wear including dings, dents, and scratches, but there is no structural damage. It has been pro-setup and plays great. It comes with the original Guild case that is in the pictures, which is actually a little older than the guitar.
