1985 Guild Bluesbird GG amber
Guild 1985 Bluesbird. This Bluesbird has a chambered mahogany body with a spruce top. It is all-stock including HSC. There are Guild Bluesbirds with widely different specs from both earlier and later than 1985. This one was developed by George Gruhn during his involvement with Guild product development in the mid-80s (note the G.G, on the truss cod cover). After only a couple of hundred made during 1985-86, the model name was changed to Nightbird. Almost all of these came with EMG pickups. This is one of the very early ones with stock Seymour Duncans. Lightweight, easy-to-play with great tone and really nice to look at.
