Calling all flat pickers! For your consideration a 1974 Guild D-44! Guild guitars have been a favorite of many traditional style guitar players. Whether its old time, bluegrass, folk or jam bands dreadnaught Guilds seemed to be a weapon of choice. Great bass response for lead runs. Nice sparkly chime up top. This is a fantastic rhythm instrument. Would accompany a vocalist very well.
Specs! This guitar is all original! Guild labeled Schaller tuners. Classic “Chesterfield” inlay on headstock. Nut measures 1 and 11/16ths. The neck is made of mahogany. 25.5″ scale length. Ebony fingerboard. The action measures 1/8 at the 12th fret. 20 frets. Solid spure top. Maple Back and sides. Rosewood bridge.
Everyone needs a good dreadnaught in the arsenal. Guilds have always been know for there great big body guitars. This great sounding guitar also has killer looks. Definitely going to be a nice treat for any flat picker!
