Summary: Jumbo-shaped Guild 12-strings stand as some of most recognizable Guild acoustics ever made. The F-212 came out in 1964 with Mahogany back and sides and a Spruce top. The F-212's body had a flat lower bout which differentiates it from the rounded bottom of the F-112. This particular Guild is from 1969 and it shows lots of wear but it sounds really great!

Body: Jumbo acoustic with a solid spruce top & mahogany back & sides. This guitar has a 7-ply top binding & a 3-ply back binding.

Neck: Mahogany neck with a rosewood fingerboard, dot inlays, 20 frets.

Pickups/Hardware: This guitar has no electronics. It has chrome hardware, rosewood bridge, top & back binding. This guitar has the original tortoiseshell pickguard and one of the bridge pins is a replacement.

Cosmetics: This Guild has a lot of character & wear – there are pick scratches on the top, several nicks & dings throughout, some small binding separation around the hips of the guitar, some small cracking is happening where the end pins go into the bridge, evidence of a crack on the back of the headstock that was repaired years ago, some finish wearing off in places & some cool checking in the finish. All of the wear is consistent with a well-played Guild from the 1960’s but the guitar is structurally sound & it plays and sounds great.

Playability: We set this guitar up with light D’Addario strings & it plays and sounds great. The action is comfortable and the guitar notes sing out up & down the fingerboard.

Modifications: This guitar has one bridge pin that is non-original & there is a small crack on the back of the headstock that looks like it was repaired years ago & seems totally stable.

Weight: 4 lbs, 14 oz.

Case: Original hard shell case
