The Guild X-700 was in production for a limited time between the years 1994 to 1997 and was made to compete against Gibson's L5 model with the same appointments and construction.
Featuring a solid hand carved spruce top, beautifully figured maple back, sides and neck, ebony fingerboard, beautiful appointments and Art Deco styling, it is truly a work of art.
The tone is warm, deep, rich and woody. The note separation is excellent and the feel when playing is sublime. It represents the top of Guilds famous 'X' series which of course is a hard act to follow, given the already perfect X-500 below it.
This guitar is in excellent condition and the figured maple is gorgeous. It weighs in at 7 lbs. 13 oz. and comes with original hardshell case.
