Summary: This beautiful Westerly, Rhode Island build Jumbo Guild acoustic boasts a smooth yet powerful sound. This guitar is great for fingerpicking, strumming, vocal accompaniment or anything a big body acoustic calls for! It has wonderful appointments, such as abalone/pearl block inlays, lots of multi-ply binding and all the fantastic craftsmanship these Guilds are famous for.

Body: The solid rosewood back on this guild is adorned with a beautiful checkered back stripe, double bound solid rosewood sides with solid sitka spruce top in natural finish. The elegant ebony bridge has white bridge pins with abalone dots and a bone saddle. It has a tortoise pickguard, multi-ply w/b/w binding on the top and back and multi-ring ivoroid w/b/w/b/w rosette. The lower bout width measures 17” with 5” depth, upper bout width measures 12 1/2" with 4 1/4" depth.

Neck: The neck has a nice C profile, 3 piece mahogany neck, multi ply binding on an ebony fretboard, 20 frets, mother-of-pearl inlays with abalone triangles inset, w/b/w strips inlayed ¼” in from the side of the board, bone nut, bound headstock and gold Grover tuning machines. Nut width- 1 11/16” Scale length- 25 ½”

Pickups/Hardware: There is an aftermarket pickup installed under the bottom of the bridge plate with a volume wheel in the sound-hole. The gold Grover tuners are working great.

Cosmetics: This guitar has been played a bit but was obviously well cared for in its life. It show some typical wear for a guitar of its age, such as slight finish checking on the top and a few nicks and dings here and there. There are some chips in the finish on the bottom side of the neck along the binding, a couple splits in the binding and a spot on the neck by the second fret where the finish has deteriorated a bit. Overall this is a beautiful, well cared for instrument.

Playability: The action on this guitar feels phenomenal. Our in house luthier has set it up with low action with the neck straight. There is a small amount of fretwear around the first 3 frets but it does not impede playability whatsoever. We have just strung this guitar up with a new set or 12’s and it sings like an angel.

Modifications: There is an aftermarket pickup and endpin jack.

Weight: 6lbs, 2oz.

Case: This Guild ships in a nice aftermarket hardshell case.
