The Guild Starfire III appeared in 1960 and was a favourite with rock players. it is lightweight and versatile, with a pair of humbuckers and Bigsby vibrato tailpiece. It was built until 1974, and later from 1995 to 2007.
This example of the Starfire III Blonde dates to 2000 and was built in Westerly, Rhode Island. The body is nicely figured 3-ply maple laminate, the neck is mahogany and the fingerboard rosewood. A pair of Guild humbuckers (at this point built by Seymour Duncan) are installed, Grover Roto-Matic tuners are at the head, and at the other end there's a Guild-branded Bigsby B3 and Bigsby aluminum bridge.
This instrument is in very good condition with minor dings around the very ends of the headstock. The finish and pickguard show very light scuffing and fretwear is light.
The original hardshell case is included.
