Here we have a 1959 Guild T-100 Slim Jim. Condition is fair with deteriorating binding, some lost wood on the back, and lifting inlays, all of which appear to be connected to being stored in either excessively hot or damp conditions somewhere in its 60 year lifetime. Despite these cosmetic defects, it’s still a very playable and great sounding guitar.
Basic Specs: Brass 3-on-a-plate tuners. 1 5/8 inch nut width. Mahogany neck with 24.75 inch scale length. Neck depth of .90 inches at the first fret and 1.03 inches at the twelfth fret. Bound Rosewood fingerboard with 20 frets and a 7.25 inch radius. One very nice sounding Franz single-coil pickup. Non-original gold Schaller-made Tune-o-Matic bridge on a Rosewood base. Original tailpiece. Single ply black pickguard with clean Guild logo.
It’s vintage. It’s cool. It’s eminently playable and sounds wonderful. Priced according to its condition. Comes with a modern Gretsch hardshell case in excellent condition.
