This gorgeous blonde T-100, a.k.a the Guild “Slim Jim”, sports a single neck-positioned cream covered P-90 style Guild pickup as well as a trapeze style tailpiece and Guild “Chesterfield” logo on the headstock. It features a beautiful vintage blonde/natural finished single cut thinline hollow maple body that pairs well with the black Guild “steps” pick guard and dual F-holes. The bound mahogany neck sports a rosewood finger board with small dot inlays and 20 frets. It measures 1 11/16th” at the nut with a 24 ¾” scale. The Guild single coil white-covered pickup has a ton of grit to it but with a nice smoothness from being in the neck position. Turn the pickup volume and tone down some for a nice jazzy, bassy tone or crank it to 10 through a cranked little tube amp for nasty greasy blues licks. Cosmetically there is some finish wear, especially along the bottom bout of the back of the body and some lighter wear spots lower bout of the top. There is also a decent amount of checking throughout that really adds to the lived-in vintage vibe of the guitar. The frets have some wear as well but the guitar still plays great with no noticeable fretting out or buzzing. It has been setup with D’Addario nickel wound 11s with a wound 3rd. Thanks to its hollow-bodied construction this guitar weighs in at a very manageable 5 lbs 11 ounces. These vintage Guilds are beloved for their fantastic playability and sound and will likely only go up in value as the years go on. Don’t let this one slip away! Includes original hard shell case.
