Description

This the model of Gurian, those most wonderful and rare guitars, that everyone seems to want: the Jumbo body size with the big warm tones of sturdy East Indian rosewood, best-grade Sitka spruce, and ebony fingerboard. We’ve been known for years as being the Gurian experts, having worked with Michael Gurian since the 1960s and having helped him to design his guitars and run his New Hampshire factory back in the day. This is a prime example, with a perfect neck and excellent action just set up here in our own workshop. It has no cracks, anywhere, has all its original components including genuine German-made Schaller tuning machines and real ivory nut and saddle, and has never needed any repairs of any kind. It has a wee bit more playing wear than some but nothing serious, just the usual nicks and scratches, and we have always felt that a lot of playing on a better-quality older guitar leads to better tone, and more of it, all of which this Gurian has tons of. You won’t find a better-sounding, or better-playing, Gurian Jumbo than this one and we sincerely doubt that one that is this good overall can be found anywhere. $3595 w/hsc
