Description

This is one of the earliest Gurians we've seen come on the market in some time and it's in beautiful all original condition. It is the most sought-after size Gurian with proportions of a Martin 000, having Honduran mahogany back and sides with a finely-grained spruce top. To us from the family of its original owner, who was a Gurian employee and had been involved in the building of this guitar. It has been untouched for many years, put away in storage and just recently brought out. There are no cracks, no repairs ever needed, no issues of any kind and the frets and overall action have just been thoroughly gone over right here in our own shop. With its extremely comfortable mahogany neck, ebony fingerboard, its rosewood bridge, the original genuine ivory nut
and saddle and genuine German-made Schaller tuning machines, it plays and feels just as great as the day it was made and sounds even better. The original nitrocellulose lacquer finish is in beautiful condition with exactly the right amount of patina that only forty-plus years of aging can bring out. Original label still inside says “Gurian Workshops. Earth, Third Planet From The Sun”. Everyone always loved that, still does. The tone is clear and bright as only an S3M Gurian can provide. One of the rarest and most desirable of all the Gurian models, these S3Ms are extremely unusual to find on the market today, especially in this condition. A rare opportunity to have one of the most desirable fingerpicking guitars of a bygone era. Comes with minimal chipboard case. $3495 w/hsc
