HALCYON GUITARS was founded by Ed Bond, a luthier with less than 20 years of experience in Larrivee.
Ed has served as Production Manager and Quality Control Manager and has directly supervised the assembly line. As a result, he has been directly involved in the production of over 100,000 instruments.
This experience has led to the creation of two brands, Halcyon, which focuses all of its attention on sound quality and playability, with designs that emphasize the natural beauty of the materials. The other, Tinker Guitars, features a line that highlights woodworking techniques by adding wood and fine details.

The model introduced here is the RW / LZ MJ (Rosewood / Lutz Spruce Medium Jumbo), which is the standard among the Halcyon models. The MJ (medium jumbo) body is designed to fit easily to the body and not feel too big when held thanks to the neck.

All of the wood components of the guitar, including the tops, seem to vibrate loudly, giving the guitar a wonderful sound with no volume limitations.

The guitar is not well-known because there is no distributor in Japan, but it is definitely a "good guitar".

[playing condition]
- Neck and wood parts thoroughly inspected and adjusted by acoustic guitar specialist
- Neck is straight, no chatter or clogging.
- String height at 12th fret: 2.5mm on 6th string side, 2.0mm on 1st string side
- Saddle protrusion: approx. 4.7mm-4.0mm
- Due to the thinness of the wood and the scalloped bracing, we do not recommend using strings of medium gauge or higher.
