This 2004 Improv that recently came in on consignment is quite possibly the rarest guitar we've seen from Hamer. Initially released in '04, the Hamer Improv represents designer Jol Dantzig's goal of providing authentic archtop tones in a very compact instrument while maintaining true Hamer aesthetic and sensibility.

Starting off the with the acoustic tone: the hand-carved spruce top atop a hand-carved 14" mahogany body yield a beautiful midrange response with plenty of sparkle and definition. This Improv has a tremendous amount of acoustic volume for its size. Plugged in, the custom wound Seymour Duncan mini humbucker is a perfect match for this instrument, providing fullness and warmth while capturing note definition effortlessly.

If you're looking for an ultra compact jazz box with high end build quality and feel, be sure to consider this rare beauty!
