Hamer was considered by many to be the first Boutique Guitar Company in America. Their commitment to the quality of the build was unsurpassed. Superior workmanship combined with fresh designs and select tone woods made others take notice. Fender purchased The Hamer Guitar Company indirectly through their purchase of Kaman Music in 2008. Sadly, Fender was facing a failed IPO and Massive Debt, so in short, they discontinued the Brand.

Honduras Mahogany, Flamed Maple and East Indian Rosewood make this instrument as stunning to look at as it is to play. The instrument is 100% Original free of repairs or modifications. Hamer equipped the instrument with Schaller Tuners and Duncan Pickups. Victory inlays are used in the fretboard and the binding is single ply Ivoroid. It is a set neck instrument with a vintage round C profile. The medium fret wire is free of wear and the neck is straight and true with a fully functional truss rod. The controls are 2 Vol and 1 Tone with a 3-way Switch. On the digital scale the guitar weighs in at 8 lbs. 6 Oz's. Cosmetics: When held under bright light you will see polishing swirls, however the instrument is free of Rash, Worming and Repairs. On the backs lower edge that rests on the leg there are 4 small dents that if I didn't tell you, you probably would not notice.

I myself have owned several of this model Hamer. You just can't get a better American Made instrument for the money. Happy Pickin!
