~1965 Harmony Bobkat Sunburst

Summary: This Harmony Bobkat is in phenomenal vintage condition, is all original and sounds superb with its’ vibrant gold foil pickups. It has been well cared for all its life and does not appear to have been played all that much. The whole body resonates really well and has a lot of sustain. Our in house luthier has just inspected, set up and restrung with a new set of 10s and it is playing great.

Body: The body is poplar with a maple cap, finished in a 2 tone sunburst.

Neck: It has a polar neck with a U shape, ebonized poplar fingerboard, pearloid dots, 24” scale length and 1.75” nut width.

Pickups/Hardware: It has 2 gold foil pickups, 3 way switch, 2 volumes, 2 tones, rosewood floating bridge, one ply white pickguard and open back tuners with white buttons.

Cosmetics: This Bobkat is in remarkable shape for its age. There are just a handful of minor dings and scuffs around the body, mostly on the edges and sides. There is one note-worthy ding on the back of the neck and deterioration in the finish around the edges of the headstock where the rubber on a wall hanger likely ate away at the finish. The strap button at the butt of the guitar has been pressed in a bit.

Playability: Our in house luthier has just inspected, set up and restrung this guitar with a new set of 10s and it is playing beautifully with low action and a straight neck. The frets are in great shape with no major grooves or divots.
