Description

Here we have a 1970 Harmony Buck Owens American H169 guitar just like the one he played on the iconic country music show, Hee Haw. Even if you weren’t a fan of Buck or Hee Haw, this guitar is still a very cool thing. A very nicely voiced ladder-braced guitar, this one had a neck reset not long ago, so it’s playing quite well. It has a few dings and chips plus some repairs. The guitar also has a new bridge and the headstock overlay has been replaced with a flawless duplicate of the original. A Maple bridge plate reinforcement has been added. There is also a Rosewood reinforcement block under the fingerboard extension. Everything else is stock. The red, white, and blue finish has mellowed in vintage fashion but still retains a great look. Overall, this is a great looking and great sounding guitar that will thrill Buck fans and Americana lovers without a doubt.

Basic Specs: Original Nickel tuners with Pearloid buttons. Comfortable 1 3/4 inch nut width with replacement Bone nut. Maple neck with a 25.125 inch scale length. Chunky round profile with a depth of .91 inches at the first fret and 1.06 inches at the twelfth fret. Rosewood fingerboard with 19 frets and a 12 inch radius. Replacement Rosewood bridge with Bone saddle. Single-ply tortoise style pickguard. Solid Spruce top. Ladder braced but has great tone and power.

This Buck Owens American guitar is the real deal. Made by Harmony in 1970, so it’s just turning 50 years old. It has many more decades of life to live and it’s just looking for a musical partner to share the experience. Take it home and you’ll be pickin’ and grinnin’ for sure.
