Description

Here we have a 1971 Harmony Buck Owens American H169 guitar just like the one he played on the iconic country music show, Hee Haw. Even if you weren’t a fan of Buck or Hee Haw, this guitar is still a very cool thing. The headstock was brilliantly repaired by Todd at Portland Fret works. Looks kind of like a shooting star now! Everything else is stock. The red, white, and blue finish is still bright and stunning. Overall, this is a great looking and great sounding guitar that will thrill Buck fans and Americana lovers without a doubt.

Basic Specs: Original Nickel tuners with Pearloid buttons. Comfortable 1 3/4 inch nut width made out of plastic. Birch neck with a 25 & 1/4 inch scale length. Chunky round profile with a depth of .94 inches at the first fret and 1.02 inches at the twelfth fret. Rosewood fingerboard with 19 frets and a 12 inch radius. The frets are still in very good condition. The action measures 6/64 – 5/64. Original Rosewood bridge with plastic saddle. The height adjustment screws for the saddle were removed to lower the action. Single-ply tortoise style pickguard. Solid Spruce top. Birch back and sides. Ladder braced but has great tone and power.

This Buck Owens American guitar is the real deal. Made by Harmony in 1971, so it’s just turning 50 years old. This is a killer playing guitar. Take it home and you’ll be pickin’ and grinnin’ for sure.
