Harmony" is a very long-established brand in the U.S.A.
The company was founded in the 19th century, in 1892.
It is a brand with technical capabilities, although it is hidden in the shadows, undertaking OEM for many brands.
The brand is also known as a favorite of Jimmy Page, who used Harmony acoustic guitars for his recording of Stairway to Heaven.
The model introduced here is the "H-167" made in 1969.
The first thing that catches the eye is its lovely looks.
The six pegheads, reminiscent of the F company, and the pickguard with its characteristic shape.
The all-shingle body is made of spruce for the top and birch for the side backs.
The back is 1-piece.
The fingerboard and bridge are made of Hakaranda, which is a very attractive spec.
The body size is about 000 (Triple O) and the neck shape is super thick.
The neck is about 26mm thick around the 12th fret, and is very comfortable to hold.
I did not expect the sound from this look, but it is quite good.
Specifically, the birch wood sounds similar to Hawaiian koa, so you can enjoy a crisp, muddy sound.
The volume is also very loud, with a good low frequency output, so I got the impression that the true value is demonstrated especially on cutting-like strokes.
It certainly possesses potential that is not just a novelty.
The hard case is not sure if it is original or not, but it comes with a reasonably aged hard case.
