Tres cool late-fifties to early sixties Harmony Hollywood single pup archtop electric. Solid birch. Excellent cosmetically and structurally. One small area along the treble side upper bout where a seam had been sloppily re-glued. It cleaned up decently but less than perfectly. Top is surprisingly non-wavy. Sometime you can surf on these, but this one is darn good. Excellent neck and fretboard. Only the most minor hump at the joint, which was easily smoothed out with a light fret level and polish. Frets almost 100% cleanly. Nothing dead and no cut-outs on bends. Just a little very minor buzzyness up the neck, but only acoustically, and nothing that even remotely comes through electrically. Original Dearmond is replaced with a Teisco gold foil (basically the two pups that fight it out for the title of best dimestore pickup ever), and wiring harness is new. Knobs are new Harmony style replacements (originals were probably cupcakes). Correct era bridge, but from a Kay rather than a Harmony. Correct Harmony/Waverly tuners. Someone had non-original tuners on here at one point, and two screw holes just barely show. Plays great, with high E 12th-fret action just under 1/8". Actually the best playing out of the three classic dimestore single pup non-cutaway archtops I have listed. The Teisco gives basically the same tone as a Dearmond - brash and punky but can get pretty jazzy if you dial it back. One righteous big bad voodoo cherry poppin' guitar at a great price. Decent foam-core gig-bag type case.
Real charges only - no added materials or handling charges. All guitars insured for full value. I will use the least expensive shipping available, although this may be slow in some circumstances (e.g. parcel post). Please let me know if you desire a faster, albeit more, expensive service. Please allow 2 - 4 days of time to prepare and pack your guitar IN ADDITION to the actual shipping transit.
NO buyer's remorse PLEASE! Damage or loss in shipping = insurance claim (with which I will be glad to assist you). At my discretion, a disatistfied buyer may return a guitar (with a thorough explanation) for a full refund of purchase price but not of shipping. I'd rather begrudgingly take back a guitar than truly disappoint a customer. If, however, I have ever made a serious error in identification/originality/damage etc. that negatively affects a guitar's value, then a full refund including shipping will be given. PLEASE file any return claims ASAP - seven days at most.
