Up for sale, a 1946 Harmony Model 200 vintage tube guitar amplifier, very original and recently serviced. This early Harmony guitar amp has a tone that's very pure and rich, with a surprising amount of headroom for its size, and plenty of lightly compressed, sweet tube saturation as you turn up the Volume dial. The tone control has a nice wide range, making it easy to dial in glassy twang or a bit of swampy sludge, while offering up a palette of tones surprisingly similar to a low wattage Fender Tweed amp!

The circuit has been thoroughly maintained by our techs here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar, with a recap of the power supply and new Mallory capacitors in the preamp where necessary, while keeping the amp as original as possible and operating within factory spec. Individual component leads on the point-to-point circuit were individually shielded as necessary, and the amp retains its original transformers, pots, and jacks. The original USA-made Rola alnico speaker is present as well and sounds great with the original cone.

Cosmetically, this Harmony is surprisingly clean and well cared for given its age and the less robust materials used on enclosures in this era. Sure, there's some wear through the original silkscreen graphics on the grillcloth, and various nicks and dings around the edges of the two-tone cream and burgundy covering on the cab, but smaller details like the original leather handle, back panel, and brown chicken head knobs speak to the honest, careful use this amp has seen over the past 70 years.
