Too cool for school. It’s a 1950s Harmony Monterey Colorama in dark bronze with beautiful gold striping on the top. This guitar has attitude! The neck is straight and it plays nicely with medium action. Original tuners. Frets have some wear but all notes ring clearly up and down the neck.
The bridge has been replaced as has the pickguard and pickup which are not original to the guitar. Someone installed a vintage Model 41 Dearmond toaster pickup system on the guitar and it’s a wonderful addition. The pickup sounds great and this Monterey is stage ready.
The usual nicks and scratches for a guitar of this age, but the color and graphics are strong and vibrant, giving this guitar a wonderful vintage vibe.
