From Harvester Guitars:

"The Harvester Recycler series has evolved over the last 6 years out of my interest in repurposing unique materials, rare vintage woods and parts in my instruments. This guitar has a top of vintage Formica and a pair of pickups custom wound by my friend James Lance. James’s meticulous work in recreating and redesigning some of our favorite coils has in turn, inspired many guitars. The bridge pickup is a mini humbucker with custom bobbins built around 12 magnet-slugs giving a clarity and transient response unusual in a humbucker. The neck pickup is his interpretation of the classic P-90 design. The back of the guitar is sunburst in a thin lacquer to allow the character of the wood to show and to keep the neck feeling smooth and well worn. As a life-time Neil Young & Crazy Horse fan the combination of Bigsby and bridge mini-hum is a fave."

This Harvester Guitar from Melbourne Australia native Luthier Anthony Paine is the pinnacle of functional art. The finish and repurposed materials used are a gorgeous blend of esthetic originality and incredible functionality. The Formica top and lightly brushed Lacquer finish are very Folk-Art in appearance. All details from the pickup cover and surrounds to the inlays are hand-fabricated in Anthony's workshop. The guitar is incredibly well balanced both seated and standing, with easy playability all the way up the neck. This instrument is a treat to play, bringing one outside their usual comfort zone, while still feeling familiar. The pickups are to die for, with pristine clarity and bite in both the bridge and neck positions with a funky middle tone, great for everything from Atkins-Picking to Rock and Funk rhythm playing. The highly chambered reclaimed Pine body and set-neck design make for a very articulate and acoustic instrument unplugged, which translates beautifully to its electric voice. Rich in harmonics with a bright yet woody tone, likely due in partial to the set Queensland Maple Neck.

The Bigsby B-5 vibrato feels smooth and works impeccably for all your wiggle-stick needs. The fretwork is well done and the setup is smooth all the way up the neck with a med-low action of 4 64ths E to E. This Harvester comes with its original HSC with its Hang Tag and COA/Spec-Sheet, signed and dated by Anthony Paine.

If you're looking for an instrument to help you to step outside your comfort zone and inspire you to play new things; this is the guitar for you. There's a reason why so many great players own multiple Harvesters; ala Jeff Tweedy who owns 5 different models. The wait list for one of these can exceed 2 years, so this is the perfect opportunity to get your hands on a brand new and rare 2020 Harvester, strait from Anthony's workshop.
