SN 594. SOLD. A rare sighting indeed. Here is a brand spanking new Blazer & Henkes D-18 fresh out of Tubingen, Germany. It is always a happy day when one of these comes around. The B&H guitars are hand-built in super small batches by the team of Willi Henkes and Rudy Blazer. The construction is true to traditional methods using hide glue, the finest tonewoods, and authentic finishes. The top is made of Haselfichte, the highest quality Alpine spruce available. The unique appearance comes from feint Bärentatze (bear clawing) which gives the B&H sunburst a distinctive charm. Book-matched mahogany back and sides, tortoise trim, vintage style pick-guard under the finish. Ebony bridge and fingerboard, forward-X bracing with scalloped tone bars. The neck is carved to the 1936-style modified V with 1 ¾“ nut and wider 2 3/8“ string spacing at the bridge. Super lightweight construction with heavyweight vintage tone – balanced and rich with exceptional volume. A crusher. Comes with the original good quality hard case.
