The WHP (World History Premium) Edition Hofner basses were specifically commissioned for the Japanese market but a few found their way into the US. These are designed to be the most accurate replica you can get to an early 60’s Hofner Bass. At it's core it's a V62 but the bridge pickup is a little closer to the bridge, the output jack is in the vintage position a little closer to the tailpiece, there is no end-pin (end pin included in case) so you'll have to attach the strap to the tailpiece. They even tried to match the back headstock to neck transition close to the original "Beatle" bass.
This 500/1 is in near mint condition with only a few hours play time. There is no checking, scratches or any dings however some very light tarnish has developed on the tail piece hardware as shown. Manufactured year 2016 in Germany and includes hard shell case including factory paperwork, leather strap and end pin. $2,795 + shipping
