2006 Hofner 500/1 V62 Sunburst

DESCRIPTION
For your consideration 2006 Hofner 500/1 V62 in a Sunburst finish. Doesn’t get much more iconic then the Hofner violin bass! Most famously played by Paul McCartney! This particular 500/1 Reissue was built in Hagenau, Germany where Hofner builds all their Master-Built instruments! Crafted out of high quality materials by Hofners best luthiers, this is the Violin bass you want!

Specs! This bass is all original and in very good condition. Built in Hagenau, Germany. Nickel 2 plate open gear tuners. Zero fret. Nut width measures 1-5/8″. Maple neck with a depth of .92″ at the first fret and 1.03″ at the twelfth fret. The scale length is 30″. Rosewood fingerboard with a 12″ radius. The original 22 jumbo frets are in excellent condition. Spruce top with flamed maple back and sides (full hollow) finished in a fantastic Sunburst. Two Staple Top pick ups. Original wiring with German pots and “Mustard” cap. Adjustable ebony bridge with metal interests. Trapezoid tail piece. Comes with its original hard shell case. Weigh 4 pounds and 15 ounces.

Nothing quite sounds like these full hollow short scale bass’s with a good pair of flat wounds on it! Absolutely fantastic tone. Big beautiful round bass notes that hit you heavy with that fundamental in the front. If you have any sort of issues with weight, this bass is for you! At right under 5 pounds, your going to forget you even have a bass on your shoulders! The frets are in excellent condition! Decades of playing left in the bass! Its gots the looks, its got the feel but most importantly its got the sound! If its good enough for Mr. McCartney its good enough for me!
