New Hofner Contemporary Series HCT-500/1-SB Violin Bass-CT-Sunburst serial number X0128Y008.

This is a new “B” stock instrument and is sold with a full manufacturer’s warranty.

B” stock usually means there is a finish flaw somewhere on the instrument and we can sell it at an additional 10% discount.

It never affects the playability or factory warranty. The only flaws we see are the slight discoloration of the headstock logo and some discoloration on the control plate.

However, on some Hofner and Godin “B” stock guitars, the flaw is so miniscule that we can’t get a good photo of it.

Recreating the style of the 1964 version.

Featuring a sustain block inside the body to give modern, deep-resonating bass sounds while still retaining the original Hofner Beatles bass sound. With a short scale of 30" and the small violin bass body it is one of greatest electric bass guitars ever made.

The Contemporary version is fitted with a center block to help improve sustain and eliminate feedback. This model is fitted with original Hofner 'Staple-Top' pick-ups.

Lightweight and with its short scale (30") neck it is a pleasure to play, even for hours without getting back-ache and fatigue.
