A very rare Hofner, Very Thin, electric guitar model 4600 E2V. The last of the 60’s Very Thins. This model made from 1968-1970 and the best one as far as I am concerned. This is the thinist body and the one without body binding. Body is only about 1” at edges and about 2” deep at center, see photo. Guitar is in excellent overall condition. The body (body only) was sanded and refinished is a beautiful deep burgundy finish. The photos do not do the color justice. The neck was left all original. The pickups, bridge and tailpiece are original and all are like new. The pickups and pots are original. The jack was replaced with a Switchcraft, along with the switch, a few wires and the ground wire. All electronics function perfectly and the guitar plays like new. The tuners are all original, but one had the plastic button replaced. The knobs were replaced with NOS original American made chicken heads, not Chinese repros. Her neck is slim and fast, like a Mosrite! Her frets are excellent, her neck is straight and her action very low. Her tremolo system is fully functional. All you need is a generic flat tremolo bar and a spring, if you so wish. A very light weight guitar that plays like butter! She only weighs about 5lbs 13 oz. She comes with a new top quality hard-shell case. A very beautiful and very rare offering.
I have a few more photos available for serious buyers.

Because of the delicate nature of electronics and the possibility of parts swapping, all electric guitars are sold as is. I am not one of those people who makes it a habit of dissecting their guitars and photographing their guts: Only in a rare occasion, if the guitar merits it. Acoustic guitars (with the exception of items with the words “as is” in their descriptions, discounted items or guitars that have had work done on them or have damage) are returnable for credit minus PP&I and restocking fee.. Terms of return for acoustic guitars: Acoustic guitars may be returned for immediate credit towards another guitar of higher price (25%+, excluding marked down prices) plus postage and packing fees (all returns subject to a 15% restocking fee.) PP&I fees are not refundable and guitar must be posted back within 24 business day hours and must be received in the same packaging and in the same condition as sent. Lay-a-way available on higher priced: 50% deposit of total immediately down and balance paid within 30 days or deposit forfeited. No returns on lay-a-ways. Accessories, cases, parts, amps, etc. are non returnable. By purchasing you are agreeing to these terms.
