This guitar comes from a partnership between renowned hybrid guitarist Charlie Hunter and two associates. If you're not familiar with Charlie, check him out on YouTube. He'll blow your mind. He pioneered hybrid guitars which combine bass and standard guitar strings on one instrument. Charlie has played with Norah Jones, Mos Def, John Mayer, D’Angelo and many others. He is widely considered the authority on hybrid guitar and he continues to stun audiences with his ability to simultaneously bust out tasty bass parts, melodic leads, and swinging rhythms all on one guitar.

On a Hybrid guitar you can simultaneously play bass lines, chords, and melodies. It has the full range of a standard bass and guitar all on one instrument. The bottom 3 strings are dedicated to a bass register, and the top 3, 4, or 5 strings are in a guitar register, all on one neck. Each side has separate circuitry and is meant to be plugged onto its own corresponding amplifier. Hybrid-guitars Co. instruments are designed and built by Charlie Hunter, Clay Conner, and Wes ambe.
