How cool is this? Up for sale is a rare 1978 Ibanez Artist Deluxe 2630 double cutaway semi hollowbody electric guitar in its original “Antique Violin” Sunburst finish. This model truly stands toe to toe with any USA Gibson from the same era and was the precursor to the John Scofield AS200.
Specs! Original Ibanez “Velve-Tune Double Worm Gear” gold tuners with perloid buttons. Rosewood overlay on head stock. Original brass & plastic 1- 11/16″ nut. 3 piece maple neck. Scale length measures 24.75″. Neck depth is .85″ at first fret and .92″ at the 12th. Bound rosewood fingerboard, 12″ radius, 22 “Velve-Touch” frets. Body is all maple laminate semi-hollow construction with . “Gibraltar” bridge and tail-piece. Pickups were swapped some time ago with a 70’s DiMarzio Double-Cream Dual-Sound in the neck and a vintage Gibson T-Top in the bridge. There was a Maestro style vibrato installed at one point, but now removed. Old screw holes have black screws in them to help cover them. Maestro style vibrato included with sale.
