For your consideration a 1981 Ibanez AS-100 in transparent cherry! Believe it or not Ibanez has been around since 1908! By the 80’s they were really cookin! This semi-hollow guitar is one killer jazz box. Ben Monder played an AS-50 for nearly 30 years before Ibanez launched his signature model! If you haven’t gotten your hands on a 80s Ibanez your missing out!

Specs! This guitar has been refretted. There is a new Tusq nut. A new set of Grover Rototmatics has been installed. The knobs are non-original. Nut width measures 1-11/16″. Mahogany neck with a depth of .80″ at the first fret and .94″ at the twelfth fret. The scale length measures 24.75″. Rosewood fingerboard shows some wear and has a 12″ radius. 22 large non-original frets are in excellent condition. Laminate maple body finished in transparent cherry. The binding is deteriorating. Original Ibanez Super 58 humbuckers. Original wiring. Made in Japan ST-Bridge with Ibanez quick-change tail piece. Comes with its original hard shell case. Weighs 8 pounds and 14.6 ounces.

Its hard to believe this guitar is nearly 40 years old already! The refret has defiantly brought it back to life! The frets are in excellent condition and their large size should last you years! The Ibanez Super 58 sound great (low output PAF style humbuckers). Clean and articulate perfect for complicated chords, comping and walking bass lines. Plenty of sustain. Just a great guitar from a great time in Ibanez history!
