Ibanez AS73 Semi-Hollow Transparent Red

Ibanez built their AS73 semi-hollowbody guitar to capture the jangle and bite of a classic semi-hollowbody, which is why they built it with an all-laminate linden body. This particular Ibanez is used but it is in great shape & it has recently been set up with a new set of 10’s.

Body: Semi-hollow body all-laminate linden body with 2 fully bound f-holes….the Top and back have beautiful cream binding and a cool Transparent Crimson Red finish.

Neck: The neck of any guitar has a lot to do with how well it plays, which is why Ibanez selected one of their smoothest and most comfortable necks for the Artcore AS73 semi-hollowbody guitar. Not only will your hand love the slim carve of this Nyatoh neck, but your fingers will appreciate the beautifully bound laurel fingerboard. This guitar has 22 frets, Ibanez chrome tuning keys, dot inlays. The nut width is 1 11/16” and the scale length is 24.75”.

Pickups/Hardware: Early hollowbody and semi-hollowbody electric guitars had wonderfully expressive tone that came with serious hum issues. That's why Ibanez and other guitar makers quickly developed special humbuckers, such as the Classic Elite models. These special humbuckers preserve your
AS73 semi-hollowbody guitar's bite, but ditch the 60Hz hum and other noise. What's more, Classic Elite humbuckers give the AS73 a unique sonic character that you're sure to have fun with. This guitar has 2 volume knobs, two tone knobs & a three-way switch. Original tuning keys, chrome hardware, slotted stop tailpiece & adjustable bridge.

Cosmetics: For an inexpensive guitar this Ibanez has really beautiful woods and a wonderful gloss on the guitar. There are some smudge marks on the chrome pickup covers & some normal signs of pick scratching on the pickguard but overall this guitar is in fabulous shape.

Playability: We recently set this instrument up with a new set of 10’s, fully adjusted the neck & made sure the action was low & comfortable – this Ibanez plays easily up & down the fingerboard.
