Description

This 1978 Ibanez Concert CN200 Custom serial number D781009 is in very good condition. The neck and frets are fine; there is noticeable tarnish on all the gold surfaces. The instrument shows an expected amount of patina for a guitar that has been played and enjoyed.

“The CN200 features a carved maple top and mahogany body for brilliance and power combined with warmth and fullness. The large block inlays in the fingerboard and the distinctive pearl inlay in the headstock give the CN200 almost irresistible appeal.”

Additional features include a laminated rock maple detachable neck with 22 large frets, ebonized rosewood fingerboard, 24.75” scale length, 1 11/16” nut width, Ibanez Super 80 pickups with “flying finger” covers, Ibanez Gibraltar adjustable lock down bridge and an Ibanez Gibraltar slotted tailpiece. Ibanez Smooth Tuner II units are standard. Multi layered binding on body and headstock compliment the black finish. There are 2 volume and 2 tone controls along with a 3-way pickup selector switch.

These early Ibanez guitars are quite popular on the used/vintage market. They are very playable and sound good.

This CN200 weighs in at 8.6lbs, not too heavy and not too light! Own a piece of Japanese electric guitar evolution at an unbeatable price.

Original hard shell case included.

***Please note: we do our best giving descriptions of used pieces. We have found it impossible to describe every mark on an instrument or amp that is not in the "mint" category. Also, what's important to you may not be important to someone else. For example, you may say, "I don't care what it looks like as long as it plays or sounds well." Another person may say, "Body cosmetics are very important to me so tell me about every scratch, nick and blemish." So, please ask the questions that are most important to you. If you ask they will be answered. They are free and there's no limit. Additional photos can also be made available.
***This is a specific item that is also being offered for sale in our brick & mortar location. It is possible that it has just been sold. Please ask if it is still available before purchasing.
***It is our policy to require a signature on delivery of all musical instruments. Please let us know if you prefer no signature required when ordering or we will automatically require a signature.
