A revival of one of the most revered metal axes of all time, the Ibanez Genesis Collection RG550 brings thunderous design to an ultimate classic, with a few modern aspects. Built in Japan, this roaring guitar features a basswood solidbody decorated in a Road Flare Red gloss finish with black hardware to match. The Super Wizard five-piece maple/walnut neck enables lightning speed along the maple fingerboard and twenty-four jumbo-sized frets.
The RG550 can dial in any tone, from crystal clear to searing and nasty, thanks to its V7 neck humbucker, S1 middle single-coil pickup and V8 bridge humbucker combination. These passive pickups are dialed in using a five-way blade switch, a volume and a tone control. The masterpiece Edge bridge offers exceptional tuning stability and precise intonation, while the Gotoh machine heads provide super precision and smooth feel.
