1990 Ibanez JEM 777 Used 1990 Ibanez Jem 77 in rare Desert Yellow with neon pink knobs, vine neck inlay and hardshell case (not original). One owner guitar purchased new in London in 1991. This guitar has the original Dimarzio pickups, a thin neck, and weighs 8 lbs 7 oz. This guitar has been played, but is in perfect working order. There are no scratches or dings, but the typical laquer crack at the neck joint and some palm wear on the bridge and back neckplate. Overall, the guitar is in great condition.
Midi pickup added upgrade. The neck is straight with no issues except a tiny bit of fretwear on the first two frets. The original trem bar is included.
When the JEM was introduced, it was a veritable jack-in-the-box of wild ideas and innovation. Conceived by Steve Vai and built by the Japanese-owned Ibanez, it was designed to be the ultimate shredder machine. Sporting a deeper neck cutaway, a unique humbucker-single coil-humbucker combination, 24 frets, an impossibly thin neck, “yank-proof” jack, the first floating bridge and goofy monkey grip, it stands as one of the most interesting and commercially successful instruments in electric guitar history.
