Description

Summary: The Ibanez MC300 Musician series was one of several designs launched by Ibanez following the lawsuit era of the early '70s. There were a few different MC Musician models, but the models with neck-thru bodies and carved tops are the most valuable. This beauty has the neck-thru construction and it is absolutely stunning. We put a new set of strings on this instrument and it plays and sounds great.

Body: Slightly offset double cutaway ash/mahogany sandwich body.

Neck: Five-piece laminated rock maple/black walnut NTB, 24-fret ebonized rosewood fingerboard with abalone dot inlays, mahogany headstock overlay, three-per-side Ibanez Velve-Tune II tuners.

Pickups/Hardware: Gibraltar bridge mounted on a sustain block, Gibraltar slotted tailpiece with triangular emblem plate, two Super 88 Tri-Sound humbucker pickups, four knobs (two v, two tone), three-way pickup switch, two Tri-Sound mini switches, gold hardware.

Cosmetics: This guitar has some normal wear and tear but nothing too severe and nothing that hinders playability. There are 2 dents in the fretboard around the 1st fret, a couple of chips on the headstock edges, a chip in the finish on the bottom side of the neck by the 2nd fret, various minor dents in the finish on the sides of the body and some of the gold plating has worn off the bridge but overall it is in great vintage shape. There are no breaks, cracks or visible repairs to mention.

Playability: We put a new set of 10’s on this beautiful guitar & it plays like a dream. The action is low – the neck feels incredibly strong & solid, the truss rod is fully functional. The frets are in fabulous shape with only a very small amount of wear in the firs position.

Weight: 8 lbs, 10 oz.

Case: This awesome vintage Ibanez comes with a gig bag & we will package it safely & ship it fully insured!
