Summary: This vintage 1985 Randy Rhoads guitar was made in the San Dimas era & even though this instrument has seen some heavy use and has the battle scars to show for it. It is ready to Shred for years to come after we brought it back to life. This classic comes with the original case but the case has really seen better days & none of the latches work so it is held closed by a bungie cable…..

Body: Solid body Randy Rhoades V with neck through construction with a worn in black finish. The neck through the body is maple & the wings are alder.

Neck: Maple neck with a rosewood fingerboard, pearloid shark tooth inlays, 22 frets, nut width is 1 11/16” and the scale length is 25.5”. This instrument has the locking Kahler Pro tremolo system, black & chrome hardware, original black Schaller tuning keys.

Pickups/Hardware: 2 original Seymour Duncan humbucker pickups, 2 volume knobs, 1 tone knob, 3-way switch, black & chrome hardware, Kahler Pro tremolo system, chrome whammy bar.

Cosmetics: This old Jackson has seen some wear & tear throughout the years! All of the corners & points of this guitar have chips & wear down to the wood. The headstock has a small fracture that extended a small distance from the edge of head stock low E tuning key – we have had this professionally repaired and it is rock solid but you can still see the fracture line. The top of the headstock was also chipped and is missing part of the binding and a chunk of the wood on the end of the headstock. The bottom two points on this RR1 are both chipped down to the wood but the body has no cracks or breaks. There are several dings & nicks on the body, lots of buckle rash on the back, arm wear on the top edge of the guitar above the tremolo system…

Playability: This vintage Jackson plays great – we recently set this baby up with a new set of 10’s and the action is low & the instrument shreds up & down the fingerboard! The frets do show some wear & you can tell it has been played but they still have life left in them.
Modifications: N/A

Weight: 7 lbs, 15.6 oz.

Case: Original case but it doesn’t have any latches left so it has to be held together with a bungie cable – the case is on its last legs & if I owned this baby I would want to buy a new case for it!
