The Flying V shape has been peaking player's interest since 1958. But over the years, the shape has changed in many ways as different manufacturer's choose to make their interpretation of the Flying V.

1981 was a turning point for the Flying V when Randy Rhoads commissioned Jackson to make a signature flying V for him. Since then, the "Shark Fin" look of the Jackson Flying V has taken the guitar world by storm, and continues to, to this day.

Set-neck design with an ebony fretboard, 24 frets, shark fin inlays, and black hardware.

The original EMG 81 was swapped out with a DiMarzio Crunch Lab. Equipped with a Floyd Rose locking tremolo system. Finished in gold with black accent lines.

Overall this guitar is in very clean condition. The tip of the bass side horn has a relatively small finish chip, otherwise it's clean. The frets have barely a shadow of wear. It came to us without the back plate.

Comes with the original hardcase.

Has a 1 11/16" nut width, 25 1/2" scale length, and weighs 7 pounds 6 ounces.
