Description

The one-of-a-kind SteelCaster line is designed by Parisian builder James Trussart. Looking like a cross between a vintage Tele and something out of an H.G. Wells novel, these aluminum hollow-bodies sport a uniquely “decayed” finish (applied using a complex top-secret process that utilizes sea salts and animal skins) that gives each SteelCaster a distinct personality all its own. This particular one has cool snake-skin pattern wear on the top and back with a serial number of 99174. The white button Tone Pro Kluson tuning machines, aluminum pickguard, and six saddle vintage Tele-style bridge have also been nicely aged, adding to the antique look and feel of the guitar. The bolt-on maple neck features a 9” radius rosewood fingerboard and 21 “narrow/tall” frets. It has a 25 ½” scale and measures 1 5/8th at the nut. The headstock sports an aluminum plate with “James Trussart” embossed into it. The combination of Arcane Inc. single coil Tele pickups and the hollow aluminum give the SteelCaster a resonant clear-as-a-bell tonality that sounds gorgeous, especially through a nice tube amp. The SteelCaster has been set up for optimal playability and intonation. It weighs in at a comfortable 7 pounds 6 ounces. The neck has a very comfortable feel and is great for a multitude of musical styles. Cosmetically there are a few dings at the tip of the headstock but the remainder of the guitar looks very clean. These guitars have a tone and look all their own and are sure to get anyone who picks one up noticed right away! That’s likely why the SteelCaster is loved by a diverse array of artists from Billy Gibbons to Marc Ribot to Joe Perry! Includes tweed hard shell case.
