In the mid to late '60s, Vox and Thomas Organ effect pedals were manufactured by EME (Electonica Musicale Europea) in Italy. The original "cry baby" was born there in '68. After that, JEN ELECTRONICA in Pescara, Italy, which was established around the end of the 1960s, took over the production. This model is believed to be a "cry baby" from the mid '70s, judging from its various parts. The inductor, which can be said to be the heart of the instrument, uses the Metal Can (aka Film Can) that was also used in the "VOX V846" and the original "cry baby" from the '69-'70 period. It has a very rich sound characterized by a bright, muddy top end.
