Coota-Robitz is another inspired creation from the artisans at Jersey Girl Homemade Guitars—Kaz Goto, Eiko Goto, and Akiko Oda. A seamless blend of artistry and innovation, this instrument exemplifies the studio’s commitment to individuality, tone, and tactile beauty.
Built with a lightweight Light Ash body and paired with a Maple neck and fingerboard, Coota-Robitz is visually unified and sonically open. The body and fretboard are detailed with vibrant stained Poplar inlays, giving the guitar a uniquely playful and organic aesthetic.
The vibrato system features a GOTOH 510T-FE1 tremolo bridge, but what sets it apart is the handmade vinyl chloride tremolo cover—shaped, fitted, and color-matched in-house to enhance the visual balance of the guitar without compromising function. The result is a subtle nod to mid-century design language filtered through Jersey Girl’s distinctly modern lens.
The electronics include five original hand-wound single coils, meticulously voiced using AWG42 black enamel wire and Alnico 5 magnets. The custom switching layout offers five unique combinations—each with its own character, from crystalline sparkle to punchy warmth. The master volume and tone configuration keeps the control set intuitive, letting the guitar’s tonal variety shine through.
Completing the set is a matching woven strap made of Japanese cotton denim and cow leather, embroidered with cotton threads, as well as a Middranger effect pedal housed in a light ash case and aluminum shell—custom-built to complement the guitar’s tone and style. The guitar ships in a bespoke Jersey Girl handmade hardshell case, providing durable and artfully constructed protection for this one-of-a-kind instrument.

For small accessories, P.O. boxes, or non-continental US customers, we may use the United States Postal Service. Expedited Orders We will upgrade the shipping delivery method to 2-day, or overnight (if applicable) upon request (charges will apply). Consignment Items Consignment Items do not qualify for free shipping, Shipping will be calculated at checkout. Sales Tax 8.625% sales tax will be added to all orders within New York State.
Returns on New items are accepted (unless noted in the description), and must occur within 4 days from when you receive the item. (buyer must notify us that they will be returning the item within 4 days of receiving the item, or return will be void) Buyer pays for shipping cost , Buyer is responsible for returning the item undamaged, we can provide return label which cost will be deducted from the refund owned to the buyer. A 10% restocking fee will also be assessed upon return of the item. We reserve the right to refuse refund if item is not returned in the same condition it was originally shipped to the buyer.
