For the many of you out there who have asked me to let them know when something very special comes along, consider this your notice! Offered is this incredible Bluesmaster Chambered 59 by Johan Gustavsson of Sweden.
The Bluesmaster Chambered 59 is essentially a Bluesmaster S, but without the F holes. This gives the instrument the light weight, woody tone and incredible resonance of the S, but allows this guitar to perform at higher volumes with less likelihood of acoustic feedback. For a weight-adverse lover of Gustavsson guitars (and LP style guitars in general) like me, this guitar is perfect!
This amazing LP-style 24-3/4" string scale instrument has a chambered Honduran Mahogany body which is topped with a Curly Maple top finished in Lemonburst nitrocellulose lacquer. The guitar has a total weight of just 7.2 pounds, making it a pleasure to sling around or sit with for long periods. The Mahogany neck feels like it came off of a vintage '58 LP. It has depth measurements of .925" at the first fret and 1.00" at the twelfth with nicely rounded shoulders and is joined to the body in such a way that you will swear the entire guitar was carved from a single piece of lumber. It has a Brazilian Rosewood fretboard with a 12" radius, medium frets and a 1.675" bone nut. The bridge is a Gustavsson adjustable wraptail and the tuners are Klusons. The electronics include ThroBak SLE-101 MXV humbuckers with a traditional LP control setup.
The provided sound sample hardly does this guitar's tone justice. It can sing with clarity or growl with authority depending on your gain levels. There isn't much this guitar cannot do and it feels fabulous while doing it. Blues, rock or jazz, this guitar can do it. This is one of those guitars that is so good that it makes you feel and sound like a better player.
This guitar is in near mint condition with just a few marks on the gorgeous tortis pickguard. Johan's guitars have a vintage look and feel, but this example has not received artificial aging. It comes in it's original G&G case with the cert and the CITES paperwork. If you have been waiting for the very best LP-style instrument to come along, don't hesitate because this is it (IMHO). Shipping to Continental US addresses is via FedEx Ground, with flat rate shipping of $60 to Eastern time zones, $70 Central and $80 Mountain/Pacific. Shipping to Alaska and Hawaii is $100. Refunds of the original purchase price less shipping and a 10% restocking fee may be requested within 48 hours of delivery. Exchanges within one (1) week of the original date of purchase may be made for an item of equal or greater value at the discretion of Capital Guitars. Where permitted herein, items must be promptly returned at the buyer's expense, in the same condition as received with all accessories and paperwork included.
