This is one sweet and rare guitar. A 1940s Kalamazoo KG-12 with flame maple back and birds-eye maple sides. Combine that with an Adirondack spruce top and ladder bracing and you get tone that is clear as a bell yet remarkably warm and present.
The two tone sunburst top with a tiger stripe celluloid pickguard is in very good condition minus a few scratches and dings that come with over 70 years of making music. The back is super clean and shows great maple flame throughout. Comfortable mahogany neck with ebony nut.
The bridge has been repaired and re-glued but this Kalamazoo is otherwise all original including the black buttoned three-on-a-plate tuners. Some slight fret wear but this guitar was obviously not played a lot during its lifetime. But it’s chomping at the bit now to join you on stage and lift your performance to its utmost.
