~1940 Kalamazoo Oriole Natural

ANOTHER 1940s Kalamazoo KGN-12 Oriole Parlor Acoustic! Made to be the Deluxe model from Gibson’s budget line of instruments and only produced from 1940-1941. Incredible flamed maple back, birdseye maple sides, spruce top, mahogany neck and rosewood fingerboard. Love the appointment on this one too! Tortoise binding, firestripe pickguard and Oriole headstock decal. L-00 body style, but ladder braced. This guitar is super resonant and particularly punchy for a ladder braced guitar. This one has replaced tuners, and an old professional headstock repair. The bridge was reglued, and the bridge screws were replaced. The action is low and comfortable, so it’s likely that the neck was also reset somewhere along the way. Overall in fair to good condition, well loved condition. Plenty of play wear, finish checking, wear through the finish on the back of the neck, a few spots of binding chipped off and various small dings. There is some faint red residue where it looks like something was painted near the guitar and some must have sprayed onto the guitar. The guitar plays great and there is some room to come down on the saddle. Another real workhorse! Comes with a vintage hard shell case.
