Description

Here it is, the holy grail of fingerpicking guitars. 1929 Kel Kroydon KK-1 Parlor Acoustic. Kel Kroydon is the first of many “off-label” brands produced by Gibson. These were generally thought to be made as an affordable alternative to Gibson’s main line of instruments and help the company survive the Great Depression. Weighing in at just over 2.5 pounds, this one is beyond featherlight. This is a particularly special example having the export stamp “MADE IN THE USA” on the back of the headstock. This guitar sounds absolutely incredible with more projection than some of the dreadnoughts we have in stock. The neck is perfectly straight and the neck angle is great with room to come down on the saddle. 100% original with zero structural damage or issues. These guitars were so lightly built and are rarely found in playable, unmodified condition. This one truly is a museum-quality instrument and even sports the “Made by Gibson Inc.” label that rarely survive this long. A once in a lifetime instrument. Comes with a modern hard shell case.
