Description

Ken Parker 7-String Acoustic Archtop (used,1993)

This beautiful guitar's name is "STORMY"

  • Highly figured Maple back & sides on this 7 string archtop from Ken Parker
  • Hazelficte (Bearclaw) alpine spruce top
  • Venetian cutaway
  • This was Ken's last guitar with “F-ish” holes, and a Gibson style adjustable  bridge.
  • The stunning inlay of Moon and Clouds on the fretboard was designed by Ken Parker and executed by  Vinny Fodera of Brooklyn's Fordera Guitars.
  • Elevated fretboard
  • Pernambuco pickguard, bridge, heelcap, bindings and fretboard.
  • Satin Gold Sperzel tuning machines which are countersunk
  • Pernambuco headstock front and back plates
  • Uber cool, Mokume Gane tail piece (a unique Japanese metalworking technique that translates to "wood eye" or "wood grain meta").
This one was hand fabricated by Ken Parker from sheet aluminum, and the finish was created by Marvin Jensen, a close friend, mentor, and collaborator of his.
The finish is a result of a unique and very complex suite of actions, based on a series of anodizing (aluminum dying) events that Marvin Jensen invented.
  • This guitar is ultra light in weight and abides in a custom Calton flight case.
