The Klon Centaur is a guitar overdrive pedal developed by Bill Finnegan between 1990 and 1994. The pedals were made manually by Finnegan. The Centaur is characterized as a "transparent" overdrive, meaning it adds gain to the signal without significantly altering the tone of the guitar. About 8,000 units were built between 1994 and 2000, so needless to say, this is one rare pedal. It has been used by artists such as Jeff Beck, Warren Haynes, John Mayer, & Mike McCready just to name a few. This particular model we have here is the Gold one without the horse graphics on it. It is in excellent condition and sounds amazing. There is velcro on the bottom. This is a must have for any pedal collector or guitar player seeking the holy grail of tone.
