Description

If you are a fan of Gibson-style guitars, then Kevin Kopp is a luthier who should be on your short list. Having spent years in the Gibson Custom Shop in Bozeman working with the likes of Ren Ferguson and John Walker, Kevin has been building his own interpretations of this classic acoustics for over a decade now. The guitar offered here is his version of the Advanced Jumbo, hand-crafted the way the 1930's originals were . This incredible guitar has: a 16" wide slope shouldered body with the top made from "Adirondack" Red Spruce and the back and sides from incredible old growth Brazilian Rosewood, with a hand-rubbed alcohol stain/ ultra-thin nitrocellulose finish and hide glue construction. The 14-fret, 25.4" scale Mahogany neck has a full C-shape, a Brazilian Rosewood fretboard, 1.75" bone nut and 2.25" string spacing. Play a chord and this beast roars with huge, rich, thick, piano-like tone! It is nicely responsive too, letting your level of attack determine the mood and output level. This gorgeous guitar is in excellent condition, with just a couple of boo-boos on the back and one on the headstock (see photo). Otherwise, this guitar is in great cosmetic condition and the frets show little to no wear. It comes in its original TKL archtop case. If you want an acoustic with presence, this fabulous Kopp has it. This is one awesome slope dreadnought!
