2011 Kovacik Pre-war style D Brazilian Rosewood/Adirondack Spruce #56
I built this guitar for a customer in 2011 who recently consigned it for sale in my shop. This is a special guitar, and the Brazilian rosewood that was selected for the back and sides is one of the nicest sets I've ever had, and the Adirondack top as well. Both top and back show all of the best qualities that these two woods are prized for, premium grade. The guitar is a pre-war style dreadnought with solid Brazilian rosewood back and sides and Adirondack spruce top. The top bracing is forward shifted traditional X pattern (scalloped), the top is dressed with herringbone and the body bound in ivoroid. The neck has a 1 3/4" nut width and vintage "V" profile, volute on the back of the headstock. The pin spacing at the bridge is 2 5/16". The finish is nitro cellulose lacquer. The neck has an adjustable truss rod, which is the only significant departure from pre-war specs on the guitar. The guitar has been played and loved since 2011, and there are a few dings and scrapes but overall the condition is excellent. There are no cracks or damage and no repairs, needs nothing. The guitar was built for a bluegrass flat picker and that is what it does best, it loves to be picked hard and loud, and responds aggressively to that kind of attack. But it is equally responsive to fingerstyle play. It is a very versatile instrument, you won't be disappointed. $6000

I generally ship by UPS and will ship an item within 48 hours (usually the next day) of having received or cleared payment. Exact shipping costs will be added to the total for the buyer once the buyer has provided a shipping address. I insure everything for fulll purchase price.
Items are sold with a 48 hour approval period unless clearly marked "AS IS" in the listing. AS IS items are not returnable. If an item is going to be returned it is at the buyer's expense and the item must be shipped within 24 hours of the buyer notifying Kovacik Guitars of intent to return. Any returned items must be shipped in the original packaging and MUST be fully insured when returned. Once an item is returned to Kovacik Guitars and judged to be in the same condition as when originally sold a full refund will be issued.
