Offered for sale:

Used c1978 Kramer 450-B Bass Guitar serial number 21874.

This bass is in very good to excellent condition. The frets have height, cosmetically showing little playing wear and of course the neck is straight.

In 1975 Gary Kramer we one of the original partners with (Clifford) Travis Bean. We are huge Travis Bean fans. But I must say Kramer basses, in general, are not as boomy as the Bean basses, making them somewhat more versatile.

Reverb states:

“From the company's launch in 1976 through the early '80s, Kramer used aluminum necks with wooden inserts for its guitars and basses. The 450-B and its counterpart the 350-B were Kramers first production basses and built throughout the initial phase of Kramer production. In the early '80s, Kramer began shifting to more economical wooden neck and earlier models like the 450-B were phased out. “

Years of Production: 1976 - 1980

Highlights:

Body: Contoured, solid walnut body with maple center strips. Top-loading bridge with four adjustable saddles. Bass weighs 9.8 lbs.

Neck: Walnut & aluminum neck with ebonol fingerboard & silver dot inlays. Forked aluminum headstock with chrome Schaller tuners. 1 9/16" metal nut with zero fret; 34" scale length.

Pickups: Kramer embossed humbuckers with wood bezels. Dual volume & tone controls with black speed knobs; 3-way toggle switch.

Original hard-shell case included.

This bass is believed to be one of the first 50 produced. Imperial Guitar has not been able to confirm this but could very well be!

“We carefully inspect every instrument when we buy it and bring it up to our standards before we offer it for sale. We also do a full set up before we ship.”

*Please note: we do our best giving descriptions of used pieces. We have found it impossible to describe every mark on an instrument or amp that is not in the "mint" category. Also, what's important to you may not be important to someone else. For example, you may say, "I don't care what it looks like as long as it plays or sounds well." Another person may say, "Body cosmetics are very important to me so tell me about every scratch, nick and blemish." So, please ask the questions that are most important to you. If you ask they will be answered. They are free and there's no limit. Additional photos can also be made available.

This is a specific item that is also being offered for sale in our brick & mortar location. It is possible that it has just been sold. Please ask if it is still available before purchasing.

*It is our policy to require a signature on delivery of all musical instruments. Please let us know if you prefer no signature required when ordering or we will automatically require a signature.

If you prefer your item to be sent without a required signature Imperial Guitar and the selected carrier can no longer be responsible for the security of the package once it has been delivered.
